Effect of piping on misalignment
The company faced regular failures with NEDS 100-160 pumps due to bearing, coupling, vibration, and alignment issues. Despite initial tests showing no alignment or mounting issues, a vibration test revealed misalignment. Further tests with VIBRO-LASER and other tools confirmed a 1mm deviation. The cost-effective and simple VIBRO-LASER Base system configuration was selected, as advanced features were not needed.
